Investment And Solar Energy In Yuma County

Alisa is an up to 1,000-megawatt (MW)/ 1,300 MW solar facility with up to 1,000 MW/4,000 MWh (megawatt-hour) Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project proposed for Yuma County, Arizona. The project will generate substantial local and state revenues for decades to come.

Local economic benefits

When fully built out, the Alisa Solar Project will represent an over $205M investment in the local communities over 40 years.

During the construction phase, the project will create about 400 jobs and approximately 10 highly skilled, long-term jobs for project operations.

Alisa Solar will also help local landowners diversify their income through solar lease payments that can be reinvested in their farms and communities.

Battery storage systems

The battery storage system will utilize state-of-the art battery technology. The batteries being proposed are the same technology readily found in the smartphone in many people’s pocket.
